Did you talk to anyone involved in the effort about why they think the petition might have not gotten the results they wanted? Did they have any insight into the views or attitudes of the community members about the recall?
No, we most definitely did not reach out. The SCS most likely would have a had a biased opinion on the subject. The school board members most likely would have as well. This was just some math on how the community “voted”. It would be nice to reach out to local community members and get a pulse on the campaigns awareness. That percentage would be really interesting to know, in terms of if more could’ve been done. Even timing of the petition could be a huge factor that maybe we should look into
Kind of sounds like you had a biased opinion of what they would say. Regardless of their opinion on the issue, which of course if they are volunteering to help the recall effort they would have, they might have been able to say what they spent, where they focused their efforts and what they thought worked or didn't. You don't know if you don't ask.
