Community Calendar: Spring Events Bloom in Corvallis
CORVALLIS – As the rainy season begins to shift toward spring, the Corvallis community is gearing up for a packed schedule of cultural, educational, and recreational events. From university performances to local town hall meetings, here is what’s on the horizon for March and April 2026:
Arts & Culture
OSU Wind Symphony & Campus Band Winter Concert: Enjoy an evening of music at the PRAx (Patricia Valian Reser Center for the Creative Arts) on Tuesday, March 3, starting at 7:00 PM. Admission is $10 for the general public and free for OSU students.
OSU Piano Recital: The winter term piano recital will take place on Wednesday, March 4, at 7:00 PM in Detrick Hall at PRAx.
Art Exhibition – Vistas & Vineyards 2026: This long-running exhibition continues at the LaSells Stewart Center’s Giustina Gallery. Local artists celebrate 36 years of en plein air painting through late March.
Hippity Hop Downtown: A local favorite for families, the annual Hippity Hop event returns to Downtown Corvallis on Saturday, April 4, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Children 12 and under can visit participating businesses for treats and activities.
Education & Community Engagement
Indigenous Representation in Hip Hop: Featuring the artist Olmeca, this lecture and presentation will be held at Kaku-Ixt Mana Ina Haws (the Native American Longhouse) on Tuesday, March 3, at 4:00 PM. The event is free and open to the public.
Business Resiliency Workshop: Local business owners are invited to a free half-day workshop on Wednesday, March 11, hosted by the Corvallis-Benton County Economic Development Office.
Transportation Safety Open House: On Thursday, April 3, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the city will host an open house at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library. Residents are encouraged to share feedback on road safety and local infrastructure projects.
Health & Recreation
Paws to De-Stress: Students and community members can take a break with therapy dogs in the Memorial Union Main Lounge on Tuesday, March 3, from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM.
Corvallis Half Marathon and 5K: Lace up your running shoes for the annual city race on Saturday, April 18. The Half Marathon kicks off at 8:30 AM, followed by the 5K at 8:50 AM and a Family 1K at 11:30 AM.
Out of the Darkness Campus Walk: Also on April 18, this community walk aimed at suicide prevention and mental health awareness will take place at the SEC Plaza from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Local Government
Downtown Public Meeting: The quarterly update on downtown vitality and infrastructure projects is scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, at 5:30 PM.
Government Comment Corner: Join City Councilor Mayers at the public library on Saturday, May 2, at 10:00 AM to discuss local issues and city services
