Corvallis Sustainability Fair Returns March 12
Sustainability, local food, and environmental action...
Residents interested in sustainability, local food, and environmental action will have a chance to connect with community groups at the upcoming 2026 Sustainability Fair in Corvallis.
The event will take place Thursday, March 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the CH2M Hill Alumni Center on the Oregon State University campus. Organizers say the fair is free and open to the public, and attendees of all ages are welcome.
Hosted by the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition, the annual event will feature more than 60 hands-on exhibits highlighting local organizations and action teams working on environmental and community initiatives across Benton County. Topics represented range from energy efficiency and sustainable housing to food systems, transportation, and waste reduction.
Visitors can also enjoy local food provided by New Morning Bakery and live music from the Nick Rivard and Ben Woodman Jazz Guitar Duo while exploring exhibits and talking with sustainability advocates.
Organizers say the fair itself will be run as a waste-free event, with recycling and composting stations available throughout the venue. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, carpool, or take the bus to help reduce the event’s environmental impact.
Following the fair, a Sustainability Town Hall will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Alumni Center ballroom. The town hall will feature presentations and small-group discussions about sustainability efforts and challenges facing the Corvallis community. Seating for the town hall is limited and requires registration, though the fair itself does not.
The Sustainability Fair is considered one of the coalition’s largest annual gatherings, bringing together dozens of nonprofits, businesses, and volunteers working toward what organizers describe as “an ecologically, socially, and economically healthy community.”
For Corvallis residents curious about everything from solar energy to backyard gardening, the event offers a chance to learn practical ideas — and meet the people behind many of the city’s sustainability efforts.
