The free annual festival will be held on Sunday, June 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This year’s event will have a car-free route along 2nd Street between Riverfront Park and the Skate Park in downtown, transforming nearly a mile of public streets into a space designed for people instead of vehicles.

In its eighth year, Open Streets Corvallis aims to encourage active transportation, improve community health and wellness, support local businesses and nonprofits, promote environmental sustainability, and create opportunities for neighbors to connect with one another. Organizers describe the event as “a way to reimagine streets and parks as places where people want to walk, bike, and play.”
You can expect a variety of activities throughout the route, including live music and performances, food and drink vendors, community organizations, interactive exhibits, and games. Organizers are also working with local businesses, performers, and nonprofits to “create a festival atmosphere that highlights what makes our city unique.”
The festival has grown into an annual celebration of community, transportation, and public space.
More than 70 groups are expected to host activities ranging from fitness demonstrations and bike safety clinics to arts and crafts, live music, games, and educational exhibits. Visitors can try circus arts with Corvallis Waldorf School, build crafts with Casa Latinos Unidos and The Arts Center, test their skills at carnival games hosted by Corvallis Kids Pediatric Dentistry, learn bicycle maintenance from the Corvallis Bicycle Collective, or take part in community projects with organizations such as Corvallis Housing First and the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition.
