Officer Wounded During Knife Confrontation in NW Corvallis
The second high-profile weapons-related arrest in Corvallis in less than a week
A Corvallis police officer was injured after a woman produced a knife while officers attempted to take her into custody during a disturbance call in northwest Corvallis.
According to the Corvallis Police Department, officers responded at approximately 9:29 a.m. on June 25 to the 600 block of NW Monroe Avenue after receiving multiple reports of a woman damaging property and causing a disturbance.
Police said officers contacted 40-year-old Tiffany Wolf, a Corvallis resident listed as having no fixed address. Authorities allege Wolf repeatedly refused lawful commands, would not leave the roadway, and resisted officers as they attempted to arrest her.
During the struggle, police say she produced a concealed kitchen knife, and an officer suffered a laceration. Officers were able to disarm Wolf and take her into custody without any additional injuries being reported.
Wolf was lodged at the Benton County Jail on multiple charges, including:
Attempted Assault in the First Degree
Assault in the Second Degree
Assaulting a Public Safety Officer
Unlawful Use of a Weapon
Resisting Arrest
Menacing
Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree
The Corvallis Police Department has not released additional information about the officer’s condition, other than stating the injury was treated at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
