March 19th
Trespass- An officer responded to Avery Park for a report for a report of a 34-year-old male, no fixed address, who had locked himself in a bathroom and was refusing to leave when contacted by city staff. The male, who had previously been issued a trespass notice from all City parks, was taken into custody for Criminal Trespass and transported to the Law Enforcement Center, where he was released with a citation.
Trespass- Officers responded to a business in the 300-block of SW 4th St for a report of a 45-year-old male, no fixed address, who was back on the property after being previously trespassed. The male was cited in lieu of custody for trespassing.
Warrant Arrest- Officers contacted a 42-year-old male, no fixed address, at a city building in the 600-block of NW Monroe Ave after staff recognized him as a suspect in a previous theft. Upon contacting the male, it was determined he also had a valid warrant for his arrest. The male was cited in lieu of custody on the warrant.
Warrant Arrest- A 25-year-old male, Corvallis resident, was contacted at the Law Enforcement Center and cited for an active warrant.
Theft- Officers were contacted by a person near the intersection of NW Jackson Ave and NW 5th St who reported their phone was just stolen. The reporting party later informed officers she had located her phone and no longer needed assistance.
Driving While Suspended- Officers performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Hwy 34 and Peoria Rd. The driver, a 28-year-old male, Corvallis resident, was arrested for driving on a criminally suspended license.
Warrant Arrest- Officers contacted a 39-year-old female, Corvallis resident, who was the subject of an active warrant in the 100-block of SW B Ave. She was arrested and transported to the jail, where she was lodged.
Warrant Arrest- Officers performed a traffic stop near the intersection of NW 3r St and NW Van Buren Ave. The driver, a 33-year-old female, Dallas resident, was arrested on an active warrant. She was released on a criminal citation.
Warrant Arrest- Officers contacted a 49-year-old male, Portland resident, in the 300-block of NW 2nd St. The male was arrested on an active warrant and transported to the Linn County Jail where he was lodged.
Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants- An officer stopped a vehicle in the 1400-block of NW Tyler Ave for multiple traffic violations. The driver, a 39-year-old male, Corvallis resident, showed signs of impairment and consented to SFSTs. He was subsequently arrested for DUII.
Harassment- Officers responded to a business in the 300-block of SW Western Blvd for a welfare check on a 36-year-old female, Corvallis resident. Officers learned the female had been in an argument with her boyfriend, a 47-year-old male, Corvallis resident, who was also present. During the argument, the female reportedly slapped the male. There were no injuries, and both agreed to separate for the night. Both were also intoxicated and warned about not driving their vehicle, which was parked in the parking lot of the business.
Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants / Contempt of Court / Obstructing- Shortly after leaving the harassment call in the 300-block of SW Western Blvd, an officer observed the 47-year-old male, Corvallis resident, driving the vehicle. He was intoxicated, and had been warned by officers during the previous incident about not driving. The male was arrested for DUII. He was arrested and refused a breath test, so a warrant was obtained for a blood sample. While at the hospital, the male was non-compliant and physically resisted the execution of the search warrant. He had to be placed in a WRAP restraint in order to safely seize the blood.
Trespass- Officers responded to a residence in the 2600-block of NW Highland Dr for a trespass complaint. A 47-year-old male, no fixed address, was at the residence causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. The male was trespassed from the location and told to leave. Shortly after officers left, the male returned to the residence and was banging on the door. He was ultimately arrested for trespass.
March 18th
Warrant Arrest- Officers responded to the 700-block of SW Washington Ave for a report of a subject attempting to enter parked vehicles. Officers searched the area for the suspect. During the search, officers contacted a 35-year-old male, Blue River resident, wo had a warrant for his arrest. The male was arrested and booked into jail.
Criminal Trespass- Officers responded to the 2500-block of SW Coho St for a report of a physical fight. Officers arrived at the residence and contacted both involved parties and a witness. All parties and the witness gave varying statements as to what occurred and who the aggressor was, and no one had injuries from the struggle. A 34-year-old female, Corvallis resident, was trespassed from the residence and left the area.
Warrant Arrest / Trespass- Officers responded to the 200-block of SE Chapman Pl for a report of a person refusing to leave the property. A 53-year-old female, no fixed address, was issued a criminal citation on active warrants and a Trespass Notice.
Robbery III / Warrant Arrest- Officers responded to a business in the 1800-block of NW 9th St for what was originally dispatched as an argument. Investigation determined a 51-year-old female, Scio resident, stole a bag and then used physical force to retain the bag when the owner attempted to get it back. She was also the subject of an active warrant and was transported to the jail, where she was lodged.
Warrant Arrest- Officers contacted a 21-year-old male, no fixed address, at the Law Enforcement Center who turned himself in on active warrants. He was issued criminal citations and released.
Warrant Arrest- Officers arrested a 52-year-old male, no fixed address, in the 900-block of NW Circle Blvd who was the subject of an active warrant.
Bike Theft- Officers responded to the 700-block of SE Rivergreen Ave for a report of a bicycle which was stolen and tracked to a nearby apartment complex. The bicycle was recovered with slashed tires.
Warrant Arrest- Officers contacted a 40-year-old female, Corvallis resident, who was the subject of an active warrant in the 3400-block of NE Lancaster St. She was issued a criminal citation.
Stolen Vehicle- Officers responded to a residence in the 2200-block of NW Elmwood Dr for a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was later located abandoned in North Albany.
Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants- A 30-year-old male, Corvallis resident, was taken into custody for a DUII after a concerned citizen called in reporting he was passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle in a store parking lot in the 1900-block of SW 3rd St.
March 17th
Criminal Trespass II- Parks & Rec employees called to report a previously trespassed subject in the Skate Park, yelling at them. Officers arrived in the area and contacted the subject, a 47-year-old male, no fixed address. Officers confirmed the male was previously trespassed from City parks and arrested him for Criminal Trespass II. He was removed from the area, issued a citation, and released.
Theft II- Officers responded to a business in the 1800-block of NW 9th St for a report of a theft which had just occurred. The caller reported two females stole over $600 worth of merchandise, loaded the merchandise into a vehicle, and left the area. The suspect vehicle was located and stopped by officers. The suspects were identified as a 41-year-old female and a 49-year-old female, both Sweet Home residents. Both females were issued criminal citations for Theft II, and the stolen property was returned to the business.
Warrant Arrest / Possession of a Controlled Substance (Several) / Trespass- A 45-year-old male and a 39-year-old female, both no fixed address, were contacted outside a business in the 1500-block of NW 9th St. There were multiple “No Trespassing” signs affixed to the area in which the male and female were contacted. Both individuals had warrants for their arrest and were taken into custody. Additionally, controlled substances were located on both of them. The female was charged with Criminal Trespass II, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, the warrants, and issued a citation in lieu of custody. The male was taken into custody for Criminal Trespass II, PCS-Fentanyl, PCS-Cocaine, PCS-Schedule II Controlled Substance, his warrants, and transported to the jail.
Theft / Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl)- Officers responded to a business in the 1500-block of SW 53rd St for a report of a shoplift in custody by loss prevention staff. The suspect was identified as a 37-year-old male, no fixed address, who had stolen nearly $100 worth of merchandise. The male was also found to be in possession of fentanyl. He was issued a criminal citation for Theft III and PCS-Fentanyl.
Trespass- A 48-year-old male, Corvallis resident, was yelling and causing a disturbance at a business in the 1900-block of SW 3rd St. The caller did not want the male arrested, but he was trespassed from the location.
Warrant Arrest- A 55-year-old male, Springfield resident, was cited on an active warrant after being contacted in the 100-block of NW Van Buren Ave during a disturbance complaint.
Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants- A 27-year-old male, Corvallis resident, was taken into custody for DUII after being stopped for a traffic violation near NW 4th St and NW Monroe Ave.
Criminal Mischief- Victim reported their car was keyed in the parking lot of a bar in the 500-block of NW Harrison Blvd. Security footage was available, and the victim was able to identify the suspect as someone known to them.
March 16th
Violation of a Stalking Order / Follow-Up Arrest- While on patrol in the 500-block of SW 4th St, an officer recognized a 40-year-old male, no fixed address, whom the officer had probable cause to arrest from a previous investigation. The officer stopped the male, arrested him, and booked him into jail on his original charges of Violation of a Stalking Order.
Criminal Trespass / Warrant Arrest- A volunteer called from the 500-block of SW 4th St to request a subject be trespassed from the property. Officers arrived at the address and contacted the subject, a 32-year-old male, Corvallis resident. The male was trespassed from the property, and during the interaction, officers learned the male had a warrant for his arrest. He was issued a citation for the warrant and released.
Violation of a Restraining Order- A victim called to report a violation of a restraining order by a 58-year-old female, Portland resident. The victim stated they received multiple emails from the female in violation of the served restraining order. The responding officer has probable cause to arrest the female.
Theft- Caller reported an unknown male stole merchandise from their business in the 1300-block of NW 9th St. The total value of the merchandise was approximately $250, and the suspect was not identified.
Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants- Officer stopped a 33-year-old male, Springfield resident, in the 2300-block of NW Kings Blvd after observing traffic violations. The officer observed open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. Subsequent to investigation, the driver was arrested for DUII.
Warrant Arrest- A 45-year-old male, Albany resident, was cited on an active warrant after he was contacted at a residence in the 3400-block of NE Lancaster St on a disturbance complaint.
March 15th
Warrant Arrest- Officers were dispatched to the area of NW 9th St and NW Circle Blvd for a report of suspicious activity. Officers arrived in the area and contacted the two described subjects. During the contact, the officer learned the 33-year-old female, Corvallis resident, had a warrant for her arrest. She was issued a citation for the warrant and released.
Criminal Trespass II- A caller reported a previously trespassed subject back on the property in the 1400-block of NW Monroe Ave. An officer responded to the location and found a 45-year-old male, no fixed address, on the business’s property. The male was issued a citation, given a set time to remove his belongings, and released.
Criminal Trespass II- The same officer from the above call returned to the property in the 1400-block of NW Monroe Ave to ensure the 45-year-old male, no fixed address, was no longer trespassing. The same male had not gathered his belongings, nor left the property within the specified time, and was issued a second citation for trespassing.
Driving While Suspended- Officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of NW Jackson Ave and NW 9th St. The driver, a 44-year-old male, Salem resident, was arrested for Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor, and issued traffic citations.
Warrant Arrest / Driving While Suspended- Officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 800-block of NW 9th St. The driver, a 72-year-old male, Corvallis resident, was arrested for DWS-Misdemeanor and an active warrant.
Theft- Officers responded to a business in the 1400-block of NW Monroe Ave for a report of a male who stole property from a customer while they were inside.
Disorderly Conduct- A 47-year-old male, no fixed address, was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct after trying to provoke another person into a fight at the Skate Park.
March 14th
Trespass- Officers contacted a 45-year-old male, no fixed address, in the 300-block of NW 1st St in a City park. It was determined the male had been previously trespassed from all city parks and was prohibited from being there. The male was cited for Trespass II and the trespass notice was extended.
Motor Vehicle Collision- Officers responded to the intersection of NW Walnut Blvd and NW Rolling Green Dr for a two-vehicle crash. One driver, a 65-year-old male, Corvallis resident, was issued a traffic citation for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device and Careless Driving.
Special Response Notice- Officers responded to a residence in the 300-block of NW 25th St for a report of a large party. The residence was issued an initial SRN.
Minor in Possession- Officers observed a male obviously urinating in the bushes in the 1200-block of NW Van Buren Ave. The 18-year-old male, California resident, was issued citations for Minor in Possession and Deposit Human Waste.
Disorderly Conduct- Officers responded to the intersection of NW 2nd St and NW Monroe Ave for a report of a male who had a knife and was asking people if they wanted to see it while making other nonsensical statements. He was not located during the response.
Theft- Officers responded to the 1500-block of NW 9th St for a report of subjects setting up camp behind the store and making a fire. As officers arrived on scene, the individuals ran from the area. Officers located stolen merchandise from a local business and learned of an unreported theft.
Disorderly Conduct- Officers responded to the 100-block of NW 11th St for a report of multiple people fighting. Officers arrived on scene and detained an intoxicated 19-year-old male, Albany resident. The male advised he had been assaulted by two males and did not know why the fight had started. Other non-involved individuals who were contacted advised the male had been causing trouble at a residence and used a racial slur. The male was released but refused to get off of the patrol car push bumper and began obstructing traffic. He was then arrested for Disorderly Conduct II, transported to the hospital for an alcohol clearance, and then transported to the jail.
Driving While Suspended- Officers performed a traffic stop in the 500-block of NW Harrison Blvd. The driver, a 53-year-old male, McMinnville resident, was arrested for driving on a criminally suspended license. He was issued a criminal citation and released.
Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants- An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 400-block of NW Harrison Blvd. The driver, a 26-year-old female, Corvallis resident, showed signs of impairment and admitted to consuming alcohol. She was ultimately arrested for DUII.
Argument- Officers responded to an apartment in the 5500-block of SW Country Club Dr for what was initially described as meaning with a machete. After investigation, probable cause was not developed for a crime. All involved parties provided conflicting statements, and the victim would not cooperate with the investigation. Officers were unable to determine what actually occurred. A report was taken for documentation.
Warrant Arrest- While at the argument described above, officers contacted a 57-year-old male, Corvallis resident, who had a warrant for his arrest. He was issued a citation.
March 13th
Reckless Driving- Officers responded to the area of Hwy 99 and NW Circle Blvd in an attempt to locate a recklessly driven vehicle which had reportedly passed other motorists using the sidewalk. Upon conducting an investigation, it was determined the driver, a 71-year-old female, Corvallis resident, attempted to pass a vehicle on the right by using the gravel shoulder. This maneuver caused the driver to lose control of her vehicle and spin multiple times in the lane of travel. The driver was cited in lieu of custody for Reckless Driving.
Warrant Arrest- A 46-year-old female, Corvallis resident, was contacted in the 300-block of SW Western Blvd. It was determined she had a warrant for her arrest, and she was cited in lieu of custody.
Criminal Mischief- Officers contacted a resident in the 1300-block of NW Van Buren Ave for a report of damage to a motorcycle which occurred overnight.
Disorderly Conduct II / Criminal Mischief / Follow-Up Arrest- Officers responded to the 5300-block of SW Country Club Dr for a report of a 32-year-old male, Corvallis resident, who had thrown water in the caller’s face and tried to punch another individual. The male was located outside, pulling up plants and carrying a small piece of wooden furniture. He was arrested without incident and lodged at the jail. He was also charged with two additional counts of Disorderly Conduct and one additional count of Criminal Mischief stemming from a previous investigation.
Warrant Arrest- Officers contacted a 57-year-old male, no fixed address, in the 200-block of SE Chapman Pl who was the subject of active warrants. He was issued criminal citations and released.
Domestic Disturbance- Officers responded to a residence in the 400-block of SW Twin Oaks Cir for a report of a disturbance. Both parties gave conflicting statements and no probable cause for enforcement action was gained.
Theft- Officers responded to a business in the 1100-block of NW 9th St for a report of a stolen cell phone.
Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants- Officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of NW Van Buren Ave and NW 2nd St. The driver, a 70-year-old male, Corvallis resident, showed signs and symptoms of impairment, and an open container of alcohol was observed in the vehicle. He refused field sobriety tests and was arrested on scene. The male was issued criminal citations for DUII and Reckless Driving, as well as violation level citations for Improper Left Turn and Failure to Install Ignition Interlock Device.
Warrant Arrest- Officers contacted a 22-year-old male, Corvallis resident, who was the subject of an active warrant in the 400-block of SW 3rd St. He was issued a criminal citation and released.
Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants- An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 500-block of NW Van Buren Ave. The driver, a 32-year-old male, Corvallis resident, showed signs of impairment and consented to SFSTs. The male was arrested for DUII.
Reckless Burning- Officers responded to an RV that was on fire in the 900-block of NW Kings Blvd. The RV caught fire after the occupant used a propane torch and lava rocks to heat the RV. There were no injuries, and the RV was a total loss.
March 12th
Warrant Arrest- Officers contacted a 33-year-old male, no fixed address, in the 2500-block of NW Monroe Ave after a business reported him appearing under the influence on the back patio. It was determined the male had a warrant for his arrest, for which he was cited in lieu of custody. Additionally, the male was trespassed from the business.
Trespass- Officers responded to the 400-block of SW 3rd St for a report of a male yelling and throwing items. The 39-year-old male, no fixed address, was located near the intersection of SW 2nd St and SW Madison Ave, where he was detained. Investigation did not yield probable cause for enforcement action, and he was released. He was issued a Trespass Notice from the business who reported his behavior.
Warrant Arrest / Driving While Suspended- An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at SW 3rd St and SW Adams Ave. The driver, a 57-year-old male, Albany resident, had a warrant for his arrest and was driving while suspended. He was issued a citation for both.
Special Response Notice- An officer responded to a loud noise complaint in the 1400-block of NW Van Buren Ave. The officer issued an SRN for Amplified Music.
Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants / Reckless Endangering- An officer stopped a vehicle for driving the wrong way on a one-way street near the 300-block of NW Van Buren Ave. The driver, a 45-year-old male, Portland resident, consented to SFSTs and was ultimately arrested for DUII. He was released to a sober coworker.
Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants / Reckless Driving- An officer observed a vehicle driving recklessly in the area of Hwy 99 and NW Elks Dr. Another officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area. The driver, a 55-year-old male, Corvallis resident, was ultimately arrested for DUII and reckless driving. The male was booked into the jail.
Telephonic Harassment / Theft by Extortion- An officer took a report from a male who reported an unknown suspect had contacted him and threatened to send inappropriate photos of him to his family and friends unless he sent them money. The male sent $100 and then tried to block the number. The unidentified suspect continued to message the victim from numerous additional spam numbers, demanding more money.
