Criminal Trespass II- Officers responded to the 400-block of NW 2nd St for a report of a 53-year-old male, no fixed address, trespassing on a business property. Officers arrived in the area, located the male, issued him a trespass notice and released him.
Harassment / Criminal Mischief II / Criminal Trespass II- A caller reported a subject broke their windshield in the 300-block of NW 2nd St and the suspect was still following them. Officers responded to the area and located the suspect, a 38-year-old male, Albany resident. The male was arrested and booked into jail.
Criminal Trespass II- Officers responded to the 2600-block of NW Garryanna Dr for a subject who was asked to leave but refused to do so. Officers arrived at the address and contacted a 43-year-old female, no fixed address. Officers removed her from the property, issued her a trespass notice, and released her.
Criminal Trespass II- An employee in the 4500-block of SW Research Way reported a 43-year-old female, no fixed address, on the property whom they wanted trespassed. An officer contacted the female, removed her from the property, and trespassed her.
Warrant Arrest- An officer contacted a 57-year-old male, no fixed address, in the 100-block of NW 5th St. During the contact, the officer learned the male had a warrant for his arrest. The male was issued a citation for the warrant and released.
Animal Neglect- Officers contacted a 30-year-old male and a 22-year-old female, both Corvallis residents, at their address in the 3900-block of NW Whitham Hill Dr regarding an animal abuse complaint. The male and female’s dog sustained a cut on its nose that was swollen and obviously infected. The male and female attempted to utilize internet artificial intelligence programs about the cut, which informed them the dog was likely to die, so they didn’t seek any veterinary treatment. The dog was seized and evaluated by a veterinary clinic, who determined the dog would not succumb to the infection. Both suspects were issued criminal citations for Animal Neglect II, and the dog was not returned to their possession.
Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants / Hit and Run / Reckless Driving- Officers responded to the area of NW Kings Blvd and NW Harrison Blvd for a report of a possibly impaired driver. The caller reported the vehicle was swerving, unable to maintain speed, and nearly hit a parked vehicle. The vehicle was located stopped in the middle of the intersection of NW 21st St and NW Harrison Blvd. The driver was identified as a 41-year-old female, Corvallis resident, and she was passed out when officers contacted her. Additionally, there was damage to her vehicle. Officers were able to wake the driver up and observed she was visibly intoxicated. The female was taken into custody for DUII after performing SFSTs. After the female was taken into custody, it was learned she had indeed struck a parked vehicle near NW 23rd St and NW Taylor Ave. She was charged with DUII, Failure to Perform Duties of a Driver, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering, and Criminal Mischief II. The driver was booked at the jail.
Identity Theft- A local elderly resident was scammed into providing his personal information to an unknown caller. The scam was discovered by a family member prior to losing any money, and they had the victim’s accounts frozen to prevent any fraudulent activity.
Burglary- Caller reported a historical burglary at his business in the 500-block of SW Twin Oaks Cir. Nothing appeared to be missing, and the suspects did not make entry into the main building of the business.
